Hong Kong woman arrested over mishandling body, running gambling operation
Body of man, 65, had allegedly been moved from building to outside hair salon on Yee Kuk Street in Kowloon

Police have arrested a 62-year-old Hong Kong woman for allegedly running a gambling operation and mishandling a body after a man was discovered unresponsive in Sham Shui Po and later confirmed dead.
The woman, who had earlier filed a police report, was arrested on suspicion of misleading officials, mishandling a deceased body and running an illicit gambling operation.
Police said they received a report from a woman who claimed to be a passer-by at 12.42am on Saturday and that a man had collapsed outside a hair salon on Yee Kuk Street in Kowloon.
The 65-year-old was unresponsive and taken to Caritas Medical Centre in Sham Shui Po, where he was later pronounced dead. According to the force, the cause of death will be determined following a postmortem examination.
After checking security footage, officers discovered that the deceased’s body had been relocated from a nearby building to outside the salon and suspected that the woman who filed the report had provided false information to police.
The woman has been detained for questioning by the Sham Shui Po district crime division.
