Man, 40, arrested over alleged sex offence in Hong Kong hospital toilet
Kwai Chung Hospital says it is ‘highly concerned’ about the incident
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of committing a sex offence against another male patient in a hospital ward toilet in Hong Kong.
Kwai Chung Hospital revealed the incident on Saturday and pledged to “fully cooperate with the police investigation”.
The hospital said a nurse was notified at around 9.30pm on Friday of an incident involving “suspected indecent behaviour between two adult male patients that occurred in the toilet of the ward”.
“The nurse immediately followed up and investigated the incident as well as notified police,” a hospital spokesman said.
“Police subsequently arrested one of the patients in the ward.”
The hospital said it was “highly concerned” about the matter and had promptly arranged for the patients involved to be separated into different wards.
