Hong Kong sport fisherman charged with murder over death of fellow angler after alleged North Point fight led to pair falling twice into sea
- Police had earlier arrested Chan Shu-yung, 66, over manslaughter following incident, but reclassified case as murder
- Prosecution asks for adjournment to allow police to collect more evidence and find witnesses

An unemployed Hong Kong man was on Wednesday remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of a fellow angler following a dispute in North Point.
Chan Shu-yung, 66, appeared at Eastern Court charged in connection with the death of Law Shing-sau on Sunday.
According to court documents, Chan was charged with murdering Law at a concrete pier under the west bridge of North Point Ferry Pier on Sunday.
Chan, dressed in a black polo shirt and wearing a surgical mask, listened as the charge was read to him on Wednesday.
The prosecution asked for an adjournment to allow police to collect more evidence and to find witnesses, a murder weapon and CCTV footage. The defence did not object and no bail was applied for.
A murder suspect can only apply for temporary release before a High Court judge. The offence is punishable by life imprisonment.
