The eldest of the two brothers was escorted from his home in Tseung Kwan O in the morning, according to a source familiar with the case.

The other sibling was also interviewed by National Security Department officers, the insider said. It was unclear whether the pair were still being held as of Tuesday afternoon.

“Police are investigating whether the two brothers had contacted Kwok or offered her financial support,” he said.

He stressed that national security police would continue to investigate potential contacts of the eight wanted activists or their “agents” in Hong Kong.

Officers questioned Kwok’s parents two weeks ago about whether they had offered their daughter any help. No arrests were made.
