One of them – a 34-year-old woman – approached the elderly man on Kweilin Street in Sham Shui Po shortly before 4pm on Monday, offering him massage services. The man was then taken to a nearby subdivided flat.

The woman allegedly stole the man’s credit card in the flat and later ran out, according to a source familiar with the case.

He said the woman went to Sham Shui Po MTR station, where she handed over the card to a man, 39, at about 4.30pm.

Officers found the pair, both from mainland China, acting suspiciously and intercepted them for a stop-and-search. “At this juncture, the man dropped the card onto the floor,” the source said.
