Sister of ex-union leader Elizabeth Tang and brother of Hong Kong opposition veteran Albert Ho released on bail

Hong Kong’s national security police have released on bail the younger sister of former labour union leader Elizabeth Tang Yin-ngor and the younger brother of opposition veteran Albert Ho Chun-yan who were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Marilyn Tang Yin-lee, 63, and lawyer Frederick Ho Chun-ki, 65, were required to report to police in mid-April, the force said in a statement on Sunday.
Officers arrested Marilyn and Frederick on Saturday while executing a search warrant at a premise in connection with the case of Elizabeth, who was released earlier in the day on HK$200,000 (US$25,480) bail, according to sources.
One insider said Marilyn and Frederick were detained for questioning after officers suspected they had taken evidence related to allegations that the union leader had colluded with foreign elements in violation of the national security law.
The source added that computers, documents and mobile phones had been seized during the search.
Without naming any individuals, police said national security officers had arrested two suspects on Hong Kong Island and were holding them for questioning.
Former union leader Elizabeth, 65, was arrested at around midday on Thursday after visiting her husband, ex-opposition lawmaker Lee Cheuk-yan, at Stanley Prison. She was taken to Stanley Police Station and then escorted to a Lai Chi Kok flat for a search of the premises.
