Hong Kong exhibition commemorating late tycoon Lee Shau-kee to open on May 1
Free event will be held from May 1 to 5 at Cloud 39, the rooftop ballroom of The Henderson building in Central

An exhibition commemorating late Hong Kong tycoon Lee Shau-kee, founder of Henderson Land Development, will be open on May 1, showcasing his life and achievements.
Known as “Uncle Four”, Lee died at the age of 97 last month after serving as chairman of the developer between 1976 and 2019. He was Hong Kong’s third richest man and dubbed Asia’s god of stock trading and a patriotic philanthropist.
The free exhibition will be held between May 1 and 5 at the rooftop ballroom, Cloud 39, of the group’s newly built commercial building The Henderson in Central. The event follows Lee’s funeral on April 27 at the Hong Kong Funeral Home in North Point.
Themed “A Light Among Us – Memorial Exhibition of Dr. Lee Shau Kee”, the exhibition will be open to the public and reveal Lee’s approach to life.

Among features to be exhibited for the first time are Lee’s personal photos and items. Those items will be displayed alongside a gold scale from his family’s gold shop in Shunde, a pocket watch he carried daily, and a reconstruction of his office space.
