Asian ‘superstar’ singers poised to grace Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park
However, the city looks set to miss out on hosting global pop diva Lady Gaga to Singapore

The highly anticipated grand opening of the sports park on Saturday kicks off an exciting month of events including the renowned Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament.
Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui said on Friday she was confident the recently coined “Hong Kong Super March” would prove a catalyst for a flurry of high-profile concerts akin to British band Coldplay taking centre stage in April.
“There will be some concerts, some of them are by singers who hadn’t sung in Hong Kong for a long time, some of them are superstars in Asia,” said Law, who despite insisting her bureau had been “incessantly” working on new projects and mega-events declined to reveal details.
“These shows will keep on coming,” she said. “We can just tell you, stay tuned.”
However, one such superstar who does not look set to grace Hong Kong is Lady Gaga, with Law not confirming whether the city had lost out to hosting the Academy Award winner.
