New | Blooming marvellous: the 2016 Hong Kong Flower Show in living colour
South China Morning Post photographer Edward Wong tiptoes through the tulips for this vivid photo essay of the Hong Kong Flower Show, held at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay
It features more than 350,000 flowers and expects to attract at least 500,000 people to see them: this year’s Hong Kong Flower Show is in full bloom, bringing a riot of vibrant colour to a grey March weekend.
Over the next 10 days hundreds of thousands of people will come to Victoria Park in Causeway Bay to see displays by organisations from more than 17 countries and regions such as Australia, France and Japan, including a garden inspired by the works of 19th-century impressionist Claude Monet, who once said he owed his paintings to flowers.
