From discussion of its limited catalogue, to questions around what it will mean for the pay television sector, the arrival of the online television streaming service has sparked a huge debate.
Here we answer the questions being posed by Hongkongers.
How can I watch Netflix?
You can access the website on your laptop, computer or tablet to watch the service or, failing that, there is a Netflix app which can be watched on your phone or tablet.
If you want to watch it on your television, you have a few options - you can use a Google Chromecast to connect your Android tablet or phone to the TV, or you can use Apple TV.
If you want to make it easier, just buy a cheap HDMI cord and plug your laptop or computer into your television.
It’s rumoured the Hong Kong Broadcasting Network could partner with Netflix in some way but this remains unconfirmed.
The South China Morning Post has contacted HKBN for comment on this point.
