The cable car operator’s managing director Stella Kwan said the Lantau Island-based company would apply to partake in the HK$10 million tourism fund unveiled by the government days ago to market the city to overseas visitors.

“We do not have any concrete plans on how we would use the money, nor how much we will apply for,” she said.

Kwan suggested that Ngong Ping 360 might try to partner with airlines, travel agencies and hotels to offer promotions, “especially in southeast Asia”.
