Hong Kong ‘Happy Ghost’ actress Sheree Lo dies after suffering heart attack

Former Hong Kong actress Sheree Lo Ming-chu died from a sudden heart attack on Friday morning.

The news shocked many of her friends and supporters as the 47-year-old film star had been in good health with no signs of illness. Several of Lo’s relatives appeared sad after identifying the body at Victoria Public Mortuary in Kennedy Town on Saturday morning.

Lo, who was previously known as Bonnie and was best remembered for her role in the 1980s popular comedy Happy Ghost, was found collapsed in her Residence Bel-Air apartment near Cyberport at around 3am on Friday. The star was certified dead from heart failure shortly after she was sent to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.
