There is good news for brides who dream of a wedding like the HK$150 million affair in which singer Coco Lee tied the knot with tycoon Bruce Rockowitz.

The owners of the city's tallest building are now offering the sky-high venue which hosted the couple's nuptials at a more down-to-earth price - starting from HK$60,000.

The Hong Kong-born singer and the Canadian boss of clothing chain Li & Fung held their ceremony at Sky 100, the observation deck of the International Commerce Centre, in 2011. The event was seen as a one-off for the building, but Sky 100 is now available to all. HK$60,000 buys the use of a 6,000 sq ft conference room with sea views for four hours, while HK$300,000 rents the whole of the observation deck on the 100th floor.

"Couples and their guests can enjoy a panoramic view of Hong Kong at the special occasion," Sky 100 managing director Josephine Lam Po-tung said.

Three couples have already booked weddings at the venue during a "soft launch" period, with the first marrying on January 26. The official launch will take place in March or April.

The move is aimed at attracting more local visitors to the city's highest observation deck. Hongkongers made up 30 per cent of the deck's 500,000 visitors last year and Lam hopes to see double-digit growth in local visitor numbers this year.
