Tycoon's grandson ties the knot with Olympics star Guo Jingjing as hovering paparazzi zoom in
It must be a contender for wedding of the year - China's retired Olympic diving queen married a tycoon's grandson yesterday under a cloud of paparazzi sitting aloft on cranes.
Guo Jingjing, 31, who shares the world record for the most Olympic medals won by a woman diver (six), exchanged vows with Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, 33, grandson of late billionaire Henry Fok Ying-tung and eldest son of Hong Kong Olympic chief Timothy Fok Tsun-ting.
By 9am, three hours before the ceremony began, security guards were already stationed around the Fok family mansion, Stone Manor, in Sassoon Road, Pok Fu Lam.
Five cranes, with photographers perched on top, hovered above the walled estate while over 80 reporters and photographers were camped outside.
Police had to turn away two cranes when the road became too crowded. Then came a parade of Jaguars, Mercedes Benzes, Porsches with tinted windows - plus a vintage Rolls-Royce.
