Chinese motorist fined for blocking path of ambulance ferrying dying patient

A motorist in China has been fined for blocking the path of an ambulance on an emergency call by driving slowly and refusing to get out of the way, a newspaper reported.
The patient inside the ambulance who had been in a road accident later died, but the authorities said it was unclear if the delay played a critical role.
The incident happened in Jinan in Shandong last week, the Jinan Times said.

Video recorded by the ambulance showed the black sedan driving slowly in the fast lane.

The ambulance honked its horn and the car’s brake light went on several times.
