A man in central China has had a 31kg tumour, one of the world’s largest, surgically removed, according to mainland media.
The operation took place at a hospital in Wuhan, Hubei at the end of last month, Cnhubei.com reports.
The male patient, 45, from Xiantao, said he started having stomach pains three years ago. Doctors at the time told him had a tumour in the belly, but he didn’t seek surgery because his family could not afford the medical fees.

By the time the family decided to send him to hospital, his abdominal girth had swollen to 135cm, larger than most women at full pregnancy.
