Chinese boy, 12, with no experience behind the wheel, drives stolen car for 100km without incident

A Chinese teenager – who had never driven before – stole a car from the street and drove it for at least 100km safe and sound without violating any traffic rules, a local newspaper reported.
On the night of December 4, the 12-year-old boy – whose full name was not given – was walking on the street after a fierce quarrel with his father when he spotted a car key on the road, the Qianjiang Evening News reported.
The key opened the door to a red Kia sedan parked nearby. Despite having no driving experience at all, he started the car and drove it away.
After the owner reported the car missing the next day, police found that the boy had driven the car on the freeway for at least 100km – from Qingtian county in eastern Zhejiang province all the way to the nearby city of Wenzhou and back – the report said.
Surveillance footage showed the boy maintained a steady driving speed of 50km/h without any breaking any traffic rules – other than the obvious ones of underage driving and car theft.
He was even able to start, park and reverse the car himself.
