A Communist Party boss at a village in central China is under investigation for altering his vehicle to make it look like a police car, according to a news website report.

Chen Gengming, the party secretary in Chenjiazui in Shaodong country in Hunan province, put police lights on his car, marked the side “security’ and used the police authority’s logo, Ce.cn reported.

He also wore an assistant police officer’s uniform he bought from a security guard recruitment firm, the report said.

The authorities have also found that Chen broke family planning regulators by having three children, according to the article.

Chen’s posing as a police officer came to light after a journalist from another news website was taking pictures of massive subsidence in the area with an aerial drone, but was stopped by the official driving his car.
