New lightweight Lamborghini sports car, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.8 seconds, among the must-see vehicles on display at Shanghai Auto Show

The Shanghai Auto Show, which alternates each year with a similar event in Beijing, is becoming one of the biggest dates on the global automotive calendar.
This year’s show was at a new venue – the National (Shanghai) Center for Exhibition and Convention.
After sexy models were labelled “distractions” by the media and some visitors at past Beijing and Shanghai shows, the organiser has for the first time banned scantily clad models from the event. Children are also barred on safety grounds.
The big draws at top car shows are the sports cars and cutting-edge concept vehicles of premium brands. New energy vehicles are also expected to be a focus this year.
South China Morning Post reporters have picked the most anticipated models at the show, which opens to the media and VIPs on Monday.
