‘Sleepwalking’ Malaysian crane climber claims whispering voice led him to top
Baffled onlookers watched as the man walked along the crane’s beam more than 120 metres above the ground before he was coaxed down

The man, believed to be in his forties, claimed he was unaware of his actions, stating he had “sleepwalked” and was shocked to find himself more than 120 metres (394 feet) above the ground.
Onlookers in Luyang, Sabah, spotted the man walking along the crane’s beam at a height of around 126 metres (413 feet) and alerted the Fire and Rescue Services Department.
Penampang Fire and Rescue Station chief Zeno Tinggalan said eight personnel were dispatched to the scene, located 3km (1.9 miles) away, after receiving an emergency call at about 6.57am.

In an unexpected turn, the worker, who was employed at the construction site, safely descended on his own after nearly 30 minutes of being persuaded to come down.
