Chaumet launches new high-jewellery collection: ‘Insolence’

Pieces focus on the house’s iconic ribbon motif which symbolises the bond of love
Chaumet’s latest high-jewellery collection called “Insolence” focuses on the house’s iconic ribbon motif which symbolises the bond of love. The intertwined diamond ribbon and gold rope chain evokes a sensual feminine touch. Archival pieces circa the 1890s provided the inspiration for the new collection.
Working in collaboration with New York-based photographer Karen Collins, Chaumet showed Collins’ portrayal of the collection at 12 Place Vendôme.

The photographer’s commissioned works referenced the Beaux Arts masters of the 18th century and the great avant-gardists of art photography such as Man Ray and Brassaï.
