Batman has been a popular theme for high-end watchmakers. Over the years, we’ve seen many special edition watches inspired by the “Caped Crusader”, including several by Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, who last year also released a Black Panther watch.

The latest Batman watch comes from Kross Studio, a Swiss boutique watchmaker who has made a name for itself with a slew of pop culture-inspired timepieces over the two short years of its existence.

Its latest offering celebrates the newest movie, The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz and Colin Farrell, which is scheduled to hit cinemas next month. Here are four things to know about it ...

1. This is not the first Batman watch that Kross Studio has made

Back in 2020, the brand released a US$29,900 Batmobile desk clock. Its latest release though is a wristwatch using a signature massive central tourbillon and planetary hand design. The same canvas has been several times before to spawn different pop culture pieces including the Star Wars edition with a Death Star in the centre, and the colourful Space Jam edition. The Kross Studio’s Batman Tourbillon features the Bat Signal on a caged structure placed over the central tourbillon.
