Samsung to launch two Galaxy Note 10 phablets – one with its biggest ever smartphone display yet
The Note 10, with four cameras and a 6.3-inch display, and the Note 10 Plus, with five cameras and a 6.8-inch screen, can be pre-ordered and are in shops from August 23
South Korean technology giant Samsung – which launched its Galaxy S10 smartphone in March – announced the release of its newest phablet, the Galaxy Note 10, last Thursday.
The device, which now can be pre-ordered, will be available in stores in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia from August 23 and in Singapore from August 24.
For the first time, customers will have two versions from which to choose – the Note 10, with a 6.3-inch display, and the Note Plus, with 6.8-inch infinity display screen.
The larger-sized device is Samsung’s biggest phone display yet, the brand said at its phone launch in Singapore.
The Note 10, which comes with four camera lenses, will cost from US$949.99, while the Note 10 Plus, which has five camera lenses – including a depth vision lens – costs from US$1,099.99.
The Note 10 offers 8 gigabytes (GB) of random-access memory (RAM), while the Note 10 Plus has 12GB of RAM; both versions come with 256GB of built-in memory.
Alternatively, those people who want more storage can choose the Note 10 Plus version with 512GB storage, which will cost US$1,199.99.
Samsung says the phones will have enough battery to last throughout the day on a 30-minute, superfast charge.
The two Note smartphones, which the brand is touting as productivity tools, both come with an S Pen that allows users to draw and write on the screen. These handwritten notes can then be converted into digital text.
