Lo wears a mix of Byredo Mumbai Noise and Gabar 02 Ground perfumes, and lists The Standard hotel and the Tate Modern among his favourite hangs in his hometown of London

Based in London, designer Chet Lo has built a loyal following thanks to his spiky knitwear, which has become a signature of his five-year-old label. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, New York-born Lo has dressed celebrities from Chanel ambassador Dua Lipa and Doja Cat, to Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and collaborated with brands such as Converse and Charles & Keith. Here, he shares some of his favourite finds from London and beyond.

What I’m watching

I’ve been laying off Instagram! I’m trying to keep my mind sharp, and avoid distractions and the social pressure from apps. At the moment, I’ve been re-watching a lot of Wong Kar-wai films. In the Mood for Love, Happy Together, The Grandmaster. I really love his work because of the grading, the colours, the stories. They’re so strong and moving, and so inspiring.

My favourite scents

My beauty must-have would probably be Byredo Mumbai Noise fragrance. I always mix it with Gabar 02 Ground perfume. As I hate anything too floral, I love deep scents.

I think my three favourite spots would probably be my house, Shoreditch Park (for walking my dog) and The Standard hotel.
