How you can own a piece from Vivienne Westwood’s wardrobe, up for auction at Christie’s London

One of the most influential designers of modern times, the late Vivienne Westwood made history as a pioneering figure in the punk movement. After establishing her eponymous brand in the early 1980s, she joined the upper echelons of high fashion but still kept her rebellious streak alive.

This month, auction house Christie’s is hosting a sale of her wardrobe at its headquarters in London. Called “Vivienne Westwood: The Personal Collection”, it will be offered in a live auction on 25 June, while an online sale is already in progress, running until June 28.

Fashion, jewellery and accessories all chosen by Andreas Kronthaler, her husband and now creative director of her eponymous brand, will be up for sale, with proceeds going to benefit institutions such as The Vivienne Foundation, Amnesty International and Médecins Sans Frontières.
