From his love of fasting at weekends and taking frequent ice baths to quashing rumours about posting his facial hair to American rapper Azealia Banks, Jack Dorsey, the American CEO of Twitter, the online microblogging and social networking service, leads an unusual life of luxury.
Dorsey, 42, has had a turbulent career in Silicon Valley, California. After co-founding Twitter in 2006, he was removed as the company’s first CEO two years’ later, but returned to the role in 2015, having set up his second business called Square, a mobile business company.

Since then, the computer programmer and entrepreneur has led Twitter through the so-called techlash – growing public animosity towards large Silicon Valley platform technology companies and their Chinese equivalents – that has engulfed social media companies.
Last September he testified before the United States Congress in Washington alongside Facebook’s chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg to answer questions about how social media companies are working to help protect the integrity of US elections and elections around the world.
Meanwhile, Dorsey has provoked his fair share of controversy and criticism, including extolling fasting and ice baths as part of his daily routine. Yet his existence is not entirely spartan, however. Like some other billionaires, he owns a stunning house, dates models, and drives fast cars.

Dorsey, 42, who was born on November 19, 1976, began his interest in computer programming while attending Bishop DuBourg High School in St Louis, Missouri.
When he was 15, Dorsey wrote dispatch software – which allowed couriers, taxis and emergency services to be sent via the internet – that is still used by some taxi companies today.
