Hong Kong star Chapman To’s wife breaks his trophy hours after he wins it

To drops the mic at the Osaka Asian Film Festival by winning the Asia Star Award ... and hours later, his wife drops the trophy by accident
Hong Kong actor-director-producer Chapman To recently brought home the Asia Star Award at the Osaka Asian Film Festival for his contribution and achievement in the world of Asian movies. Unfortunately, the trophy was broken into two pieces just a few hours after he received it.
To posted an image of the broken award on Instagram, saying his wife, Hong Kong actress Kristal Tin, broke the award trophy accidentally when they finished dinner.
“She almost burst into tears. I thought, ‘Why would you want to cry when I don’t?’” he wrote. “All I can say is: ‘Life is unpredictable. It’s a dojo (training field) everywhere.’ I can only work harder. Hopefully, I will receive another award in the future.”
In The Empty Hands, the latest film directed by To, he also plays the main character, Chan Keung, a former karate student. The 46-year-old is famous for his roles in Infernal Affairs (2003), Initial D (2004) and Vulgaria (2012), and has produced movies such as Isabella (2006), Ex (2010), Sara (2015) and The Mobfathers (2016).
