Following Irene’s bullying scandal, Joy and Wendy released solo EPs ‘Hello’ and ‘Like Water’, and Seulgi became a brand ambassador for Salvatore Ferragamo

Joy also modelled for Tod’s and will star in new K-drama Only One Person alongside Hospital Playlist star Ahn Eun-jin, while Yeri appeared in Blue Birthday

Red Velvet celebrates its seventh anniversary today! Since debuting on August 1, 2014, the K-pop girl group has become known for its cute, catchy and summery songs.

The band saw a dip in popularity in October 2020 after the public caught wind of a bullying scandal involving Irene and a stylist, leading to a halt in public appearances and disappointing fans. But fast forward almost a year later and Red Velvet is officially returning with a brand new album to be released this month.

On July 25, Red Velvet surprised fans by dropping a throwback video starring all five members. This was the beginning of their promotional archive project “Queens Mystic General Store”, which led up to their seventh anniversary.
