Anne Curtis, Solenn Heussaff and the Philippines’ ‘It Girls’ setting Instagram and reality TV on fire

From Georgina Wilson’s classic crew on E!’s It Girls to Filipino-Australian superstar and BLK Cosmetics founder Anne Curtis-Smith to Isabelle Daza – daughter of a Miss Universe – these stylish and successful Filipino women are making waves on our screens and feeds
Even before #goals was a thing, open-hearted celebrity Filipino women have long channelled the BFF squad mentally – most notably in the group of trendsetting friends centred around Georgina Wilson dubbed Manilla's “It Girls” back in the early 2000s.
With four of those special women – Wilson plus actress and VJ, Solenn Heussaff, socialite Isabelle Daza and celebrity stylist Liz Uy – later rounded up by E! for a reality TV show of the same names, we look back at some of the Philippines’ most enduring, influential female faces setting our feeds on fire.
Anne Curtis-Smith
The almost 15 million followers she has attracted on Instagram speak for the fame and success of Filipino-Australian superstar Anne Curtis-Smith. She started out as a child actor and now she’s grown into a woman of many talents – TV and film actress, model, endorser, philanthropist and more. This fashion maven has also launched her very own make-up brand called BLK Cosmetics.
Georgina Wilson
If this Filipino-British “It girl” looks familiar to you, that’s likely because you’ve seen her host the third season of Asia’s Next Top Model. Georgina Wilson has also starred in the E! reality TV show It Girls! with her equally stylish friends. As the marketing director of local business empire, Sunnies Studios, she’s mastered the girl boss OOTDs.
