After eight years, Gossip Girl is now finally getting a much-awaited reboot. HBO has cast Emily Alyn Lind to be one of the main leads, according to entertainment website Deadline. The official synopsis reads: “Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years.”
Lind will play a character named Audrey, which the show describes as “someone who has been in a long-term relationship and is beginning to wonder what more could be out there”.

Acting runs in her blood
Lind could definitely take some acting pointers from her mum. Yes, her mother is none other than actress Barbara Alyn Woods, who played Deb Scott in the nine seasons of One Tree Hill.
Lind’s dad, John Lind, works behind the camera as a director/producer. Her parents met on the set of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, according to celebrity website Glamour. Her older and younger sister, Natalie and Alyvia, are also actresses.
