Hollywood’s slow, long-overdue championing of the LGBTQ+ community is, thankfully, making up for silences past. Marvel hunk Chris Evans loves hanging out with his brother, Scott Evans, from the red carpets to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Evans told The Fix that having a gay brother encouraged him to “cultivate compassion and understanding” and credits his brother for his passion for LGBTQ+ rights.

In 2018, Moretz raised awareness around gay-conversion therapy in her film, The Miseducation of Cameron Post.
