STYLE Edit: Richard Mille equips its 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship racing team with the electrifying new RM 07-01 Racing Red watch

- Just 50 pieces of the watch will be made, using signature Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT to protect the in-house calibre CRMA2 automatic skeletonised movement
- RM drivers Beitske Visser, Sophia Flörsch and Tatiana Calderón debuted at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race in Belgium

In 2021, the Richard Mille Racing Team comprises racers Beitske Visser, Sophia Flörsch and Tatiana Calderón, all of whom share the brand’s ambition and daring spirit. After an excellent debut during the 2020 European season, the team is following up with a more ambitious tilt at the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) this year. The first race was the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on April 29-May 1, where the team claimed a creditable four points. To celebrate the team’s new beginnings, Richard Mille did what it does best – create watches.

As in motorsport, the engine at the heart of the machine is everything. The RM 07-01 Racing Red uses the in-house calibre CRMA2, which is an automatic skeletonised movement. Unlike the racing car, this powerhouse watch is just as useful off the track. In fact, all three drivers will be wearing the watch during races as well as in their daily lives. With any luck, the watch will also be accompanying the ladies onto the winners’ podium.
