As the autumn winds cool Hong Kong down, we are beginning to crave crab! Hairy crab, to be exact. Chefs around the city have come up with creative dishes incorporating the aromatic roe of the distinct crustacean, and we’ve rounded up some of best places in town to indulge in a multi-course feast.
The Legacy House
The Legacy House is back with its most exuberant of hairy crab set menus at HK$2,680 (US$345), which include famous dishes like steamed Shanghainese pork dumplings and braised green bean noodles with hairy crab paste. There’s also à la carte items such as wok-fried lion fish and braised tofu with scallops, all served with hairy crab cream, that are not to be missed. What really pushed the dishes at The Legacy House over on the luxury scale is the option to top these dishes with white truffle at HK$100 per gram. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
