Who is G-Dragon’s doting sister, fashion guru Dami Kwon? She launched We11Done with K-pop idol Jessica Jung and married K-drama star Min Joon-kim
STORYLucy Jeong

- Listed among BoF’s most influential people in fashion, Kwon’s Rare Market hosted a sale of items from K-pop idols like Sandara Park and Taeyang
- She’s married to hot K-drama actor Min Joon-kim, star of the series Damo and Love in Prague, and lives in a fancy pants pad in Seoul’s Hannam-dong hood
Although many people might envy her for being the older sister of certifiable OG K-pop genius G-Dragon, Dami Kwon is well worthy of admiration in her own right. For one, you might say that style sense runs in the family (GD, of course, is a long-time Chanel ambassador). So from launching her own successful fashion brand to making a runway collection debut in Paris, here are a few things you might want to know about the 38-year-old entrepreneur.
She founded a fashion business – before her brother

When it comes to creating your own looks, Dami Kwon was way ahead of her brother. G-Dragon launched his brand PeaceMinusOne in 2016 – while she co-founded a fashion store in 2014. Her Rare Market even got her listed among The Business of Fashion’s 500 most influential global trendsetters in 2017.

The shop’s name, however, can be credited to G-Dragon, who suggested “rare” to represent the brand’s philosophy of introducing one-of-a kind fashion pieces to Korea. In 2015, a YG Bazaar also took place in Dami Kwon’s shop, selling personal items belonging to K-pop artists signed to YG Entertainment, like Sandara Park and Taeyang. According to JobKorea, the company’s revenue was around 18 billion won (US$16 million) in 2019.
She teamed up with idol Jessica Jung

In 2015, she launched in-house brand We11Done with former Girls’ Generation singer Jessica Jung, the name representing the venture’s 11 partners at the time and also playing with the culinary term “well done” as compared to the “rare” in her store’s name. The brand had its runway debut, in Paris in 2020, with a menswear collection that G-Dragon popped in to support.
