The swirling patterns and psychedelic colours of Pucci have become a staple of chic summer holiday destinations like Capri and Southern France, but the Florence-based label’s signature creations work all year round. Pucci’s latest collection, Supernova, is meant to evoke an “explosion of light rippling through the cosmos” with its statement dresses, down jackets and sporty ensembles. Stellar stuff.

2. Alaïa trousers

Parisian label Alaïa is known for its bodycon knitted dress that fits like a glove as well as the leather dress that Rihanna wore to the 2023 Oscars. The brand, now helmed by Belgian designer Pieter Mulier, also makes beautiful separates in its famous stretchy knitwear. This pair of exaggerated rounded leg rib wool trousers – worn here with a matching jumper – are for those who love to play with striking silhouettes and are not afraid to make a fashion statement. Wear them with one of the brand’s towering heels or a more down-to-earth pair of white trainers. They’re available in Hong Kong at Lane Crawford.

3. Carnet Entwined Unity bangle

According to Chinese tradition, parents should adorn newborn babies with jade bangles to protect them from evil spirits and to attract good luck. These symbols of prosperity are quite common but if you’re looking for an extra-special one, Michelle Ong, the Hong Kong-based founder of jewellery house Carnet, has come up with her own unique take. Named Entwined Unity, the piece is embellished with swirling rows of emeralds, rubies, sapphires, garnets and amethysts, and can be worn as a brooch or a pendant.
