The content creator and influencer started working with the rap star in 2023 after he fired his previous chef Morghan Medlock, who later sued him for wrongful termination

The way to Lil Wayne’s heart must be through his stomach. The five-time Grammy-winning rapper has reportedly been cooking up a romance with his private chef, LeahAngelie Murphy after firing and being sued by his former chef, Morghan Medlock. Medlock, who had reportedly been in charge of Lil Wayne’s meals for two years, alleged in 2022 that her employment was wrongfully terminated.

Per TMZ, she was on the clock during a trip to Vegas with him but when she heard her 10-year-old son was hospitalised due to an injury and Weezy was delaying their flight back to Los Angeles by smoking on the plane, she chose to take a separate flight home rather than accompany her boss. Medlock explained the situation to Lil Wayne’s assistant and hoped they would understand. However, rather than sympathising with her, the “Mirror” rapper fired her. Medlock initially sued him for US$500,000 but the matter was settled out of court.

Murphy reportedly started working with Lil Wayne in 2023, soon after Medlock was let go and they have supposedly been dating for a year now. As Wayne’s live-in chef, she’s always on call and also accompanies the rapper on tour. Murphy shared her experience of touring with her rumoured beau on Instagram with a clip of her hectic schedule, captioned, “One of the hardest things I’ve done as a private chef! Tour life is not for the weak!” However, it doesn’t seem like Murphy is Wayne’s exclusive chef as she was also seen catering at an after-party event for The Bear Season 3 in June last year.

Besides cooking for Lil Wayne, Murphy also finds time to grow her own brand as a content creator. The culinary connoisseur was recently on an influencer trip with Nike and was photographed at a Topgolf event too.
