Who is Kim Kardashian’s first husband, Damon Thomas – who was 10 years her senior? The Skims founder eloped with the Grammy-winning music producer when she was just 19, and he went bankrupt in 2012

Kim shared in a recent episode of The Kardashians that her sister Khloé helped her through her divorce with Thomas, a music producer who’s worked with Mariah Carey and Justin Timberlake
In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian recalled her first divorce with ex Damon Thomas. The fashion mogul was 19 when she eloped with 29-year-old Thomas in 2000. The couple were married for almost four years until Thomas filed for divorce in 2003.

In the recent March 6 episode, Kim revealed how her sister Khloé, who’s four years younger, had helped her through her divorce. “When Khloé was maybe 4 or 5 years old, she got this piggy bank in the shape of a Coca-Cola bottle. We would put so much money in it,” she recalled. “When I was getting my first divorce, I moved out and had no money. I was like 21 and she gave me her Coke bottle.”
“We were up all night counting it and it was US$6,000, and it was enough for me to get a down payment on my flat.”

He is a music producer

Damon Thomas is a record producer who worked with Harvey Mason Jr as one half of the R&B/pop production duo The Underdogs. Currently, Thomas is the CEO and label owner of Thomas Krown Records. According to the label’s website, Thomas is a five-time Grammy award winner and multi-platinum selling producer who has worked with artists including Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey.
Kim claimed Thomas was violent during their marriage

Per The Sun, Kim claimed in divorce papers that Thomas was regularly violent during their marriage – a claim Thomas has denied. Damon was ordered to give Kim a one-off payment of around US$44,000.
In a 2018 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the socialite also revealed that she was high on Ecstasy when she eloped with Thomas. “I did Ecstasy once and I got married. I did it again, I made a sex tape. Like, everything bad would happen [when I was on drugs].”
