Streaming platform Twitch is turning its most followed stars into mega millionaires.

A new generation of social media stars, Twitch streamers can potentially earn big bucks from sponsorships, advertising revenue, influencer partnership programmes, tiered subscriptions, merch sales and tips from their subscribers.

Spanish YouTuber, Twitch star and comedian Raúl Álvarez Genes, known online as AuronPlay, is reportedly the third-most followed account on Twitch with over 16.7 million followers. Forbes Spain even included Álvarez on their list of the 100 best influencers of Spain in 2020.
