Meet Jennifer Landon, Yellowstone’s Teeter: IRL the actress behind the tough-talking ranch hand looks at home on the red carpet and is Hollywood royalty – her father was actor Michael Landon
Jennifer Landon may be best known for her work on the neo-Western, but she also has a growing film career, including in this year’s Brothers, starring Josh Brolin, Brendan Fraser and Peter Dinklage
As the curtain comes down on the fifth, and possibly last, season of the beloved Paramount+ show, here’s a look at Jennifer Landon and how different her life is from her Yellowstone character’s.
Her famous father
Unlike Landon’s on-screen character Teeter, who works as a ranch hand at the Dutton Ranch, the actress was exposed to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood from a young age.
She was born to parents Michael and Cindy Landon. The couple wed in 1983 and welcomed two children, Jennifer and her brother Sean.
Michael, who passed away in 1991 from pancreatic cancer, was recognised for his work on the small screen. His best-known roles are as Little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza, Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie, and Jonathan Smith in Highway to Heaven.
Her mother was a make-up artist on Little House on the Prairie, per The Mirror.
With the backing of her famous father, Jennifer Landon made her TV debut in an episode of Highway to Heaven in 1989, when she was only six years old.
She has eight siblings
Michael Landon was married three times and is survived by his nine children, including Jennifer.
