Liam Payne is survived by his parents and older sisters Ruth Gibbins and Nicola Payne, who have both said the One Direction star was ‘too good’ for this world

Liam Payne’s friends, family and fan base are still in shock after news of his tragic death in Argentina on October 16.

He is survived by his parents and two older sisters Ruth Gibbins and Nicola Payne, who recently spoke out in two separate, heartbreaking posts shared to their respective Instagram accounts over the weekend.

“I don’t believe this is happening,” Gibbins wrote on Instagram on Saturday. “Many times have I poured my heart out publicly with pride about Liam but never much about life as his sister. Liam is my best friend, no one could ever make me laugh as much as him, doing his impressions always had me creasing and he loved seeing how much of a laugh he could get.” She also shared a carousel of photos of them together in the post.

This week, Nicola also took to Instagram to express her sadness – and how she had to find out the terrible news about her brother via the media. “When I saw the news pop up on my phone that you had left us I went cold, I wanted to so much for this to be untrue,” she wrote on Monday. “I have spent days hoping that it was a mistake and somebody has got it wrong. You were truly too good for this earth, you are an angel who just lived for making people smile and happy. You have always shown kindness to everyone you met and it shows with just how many people have confirmed what we always knew!”

She added that their family were “his biggest fans”.
