Meet Rudy Giuliani’s outspoken daughter, Caroline Giuliani: the pro Kamala Harris filmmaker has a ‘comically complicated’ relationship with her Donald Trump-supporting dad, and recently got engaged

Caroline Giuliani has long had a fraught relationship with her dad, but in recent years she’s spoken out about politics, eating disorders and her sexuality – now she’s asking people to vote Democrat
For most Americans of a certain age, their introduction to Caroline Giuliani was as a fresh-faced little girl standing next to her father, Rudy Giuliani, as he was sworn in as the mayor of New York City in 1994. During the inauguration, she wore a baby pink coat and bonnet and a white muff to keep her hands warm in the January cold.

Now 35, Caroline has spoken about life with her father, describing their relationship as “cartoonishly complicated” in a recent essay she wrote for Vanity Fair. Rudy, once called “America’s mayor” and hailed for his leadership in the wake of the September 11 attacks, became a polarising figure after supporting former president Donald Trump and claiming that the 2020 US election was “stolen”.

Here’s what you need to know about Caroline Giuliani.
She is encouraging Americans to vote for Kamala Harris

Rudy Giuliani has had a dramatic fall from grace over the past few years. The politician, once a presidential hopeful, now faces charges for claiming the 2020 election was stolen and plotting “to subvert” US President Joe Biden’s victory. He was also disbarred from practising law in Washington DC and filed for bankruptcy protection in December 2023, but a judge ended this in July, exposing Giuliani to lawsuits.
Caroline Giuliani blames Trump for her father’s downfall. “Watching my dad’s life crumble since he joined forces with Trump has been extraordinarily painful, both on a personal level and because his demise feels linked to a dark force that threatens to once again consume America.”
