It’s been a quarter of a century since Christina Aguilera released her debut self-titled album – and the pop queen celebrated the special occasion in style. Songs like “Genie in a Bottle”, “What a Girl Wants” and “Reflection” from Disney’s Mulan were among the hit tracks released from the 1999 album.

As reported by JustJared, the iconic singer held a lavish bash at the West Hollywood Edition on September 23 in Los Angeles to celebrate the anniversary.
Christina’s fiancé Matthew Rutler stood by her side on the red carpet at the event.


In anticipation of the album’s anniversary, the 43-year-old songstress collaborated with Spotify to release new versions of her tracks with features from celebs including Sabrina Carpenter and Machine Gun Kelly, per JustJared.

Aguilera’s long-time partner has supported her through the years – and continues to do so during her career milestone.

Per LinkedIn, Rutler is an investor and the executive vice-president of online education subscription platform MasterClass, which includes a class on how to “elevate your singing and stage presence” by none other than – you guessed it – Christina Aguilera, among others.
Previously, he worked as a production assistant on films including The Proposal with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, Grown Ups with Adam Sandler, The Social Network with Jesse Eisenberg and Just Go with It with Jennifer Aniston, among others, per IMDB.
How did Christina Aguilera meet Matthew Rutler?

According to People magazine, the couple first crossed paths on the set of Burlesque in 2009, but they didn’t start dating until after Aguilera filed for divorce from her ex, Jordan Bratman, in 2010.
