Who is Lana Del Rey’s ‘nepo daddy’, Rob Grant? He just walked his daughter down the aisle in her surprise wedding to alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene … but did you know he released his own album?
The ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer appears to have married Jeremy Dufrene, a swamp boat tour guide and divorced father of 3; she was accompanied by her dad at the Louisiana wedding
Images of the “Summertime Sadness” singer in a wedding dress accompanied by her father and siblings are going viral online. Del Rey, aka Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, seems to have married alligator tour guide, Jeremy Dufrene, 49, in a surprise outdoor wedding in Louisiana, next to the bayou where Dufrene operates his swamp boat tours, per British media.
The newlyweds reportedly met in 2019 and Dufrene first appeared on her Instagram this May as “my guy”. The “Born to Die” singer, who revived flower crowns as a fashion accessory, also made her father popular online.
Grant was dubbed a “nepo daddy” by Del Rey’s fans and the internet after he released his debut album Lost at Sea earlier this year on June 9.
Of course, “nepo daddy” is a riff on “nepo baby”: celebrity kids who, like their parents, are in the entertainment industry and perceived to have become famous courtesy of their family. Grant and Del Rey both happen to be in music – but what else do we know about Del Rey’s parents?
Who are Lana Del Rey’s parents?
Grant lives primarily in Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, per Amisun, and is married to Patricia Hill, Del Rey’s mum. Grant is known more publicly than Hill, and – perhaps thanks to his daughter – he has a following of over 250,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing. By contrast, Hill has a modest 2,800 followers on Instagram, where she posts mostly old photographs of herself or her famous daughter.
