Christopher Reeve played the last son of Krypton in four Superman films before a spinal cord injury left him paralysed from the neck down. Now, his son is continuing his legacy with a meaningful cameo as a TV reporter in the upcoming Superman, which he was spotted filming for in Cleveland. Will was born to Christopher and Dana Reeve on June 7, 1992. He was three when his father was met with the tragic equestrian accident that changed his life, and 11 when he passed away. A year and a half later, his mother, who had been a non-smoker, succumbed to lung cancer.

According to Bedford & New Canaan Magazine (B&NC Mag), Reeve was taken in by his neighbours at his mother’s behest so he could finish his education where he started. He went on to graduate from his mother’s alma mater, Middlebury College, where he studied English and American literature.

He admits to being a nepo baby with a “normal childhood”

When asked about being Superman’s son, Reeve clarified to B&NC Mag, “I’m not, I’m Christopher and Dana’s son,” adding, “They taught me not to use our name to get something and never to expect special treatment.” However, the 32-year-old admits there was “nepotism at work” when he got to be on Sesame Street. Reeve had previously told People that he had a “totally normal childhood” despite his parents’ celebrity status or his father’s medical condition.
