What has Lizzo been up to since being ‘cancelled’? She just announced a ‘gap year’ in Bali, attended the Met Gala, and released a new Yitty swimsuit line

Despite seeming to ‘quit’ social media at one point, the ‘About Damn Time’ singer is still posting – and seems to be living her best life

Lizzo allegedly pressured them to interact with nude performers in Amsterdam, body shamed them, and had them suffer through gruelling re-auditions. The lawsuit led to Lizzo vanishing from the limelight for some time, even as the entertainment world buzzed through an eventful awards season, from the Critics Choice Awards to the Emmys.
Most recently though, the singer is enjoying a “gap year” in Bali. “I’m taking a gap year and protecting my peace,” she posted to Instagram at the end of August. “Unfortunately I’ll be posting way too many bikini pics,” she added.
So what else has Lizzo been up to since?
Lizzo didn’t win an Emmy – but celebrated anyway

According to Billboard, in July 2023 before the lawsuit controversy, Lizzo was an Emmy Award hopeful. Her performance in the HBO Max original Lizzo: Live in Concert scored a nomination for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded).

While she didn’t win during the awards ceremony on January 7, Lizzo’s spirits remained high. “It’s an honour to be nominated tonight with legends! And to my special tour family! Thank you,” she wrote on Instagram, crediting artists Cardi B, SZA and Missy Elliot for their contributions to the show.
