When the spotlight shines on the Vergara family, it’s easy to get grabbed by the charisma of the matriarch and most recognisable member of the clan, actress Sofia Vergara. However, besides Vergara’s super hot son Manolo, there’s another member of the family who also gets lots of attention – her lookalike niece, Claudia Vergara.

Vergara’s life has been a bit of a back-and-forth between Colombia and the United States. When she was around two months old, her parents returned from Florida to Barranquilla in Colombia, where she stayed until age three before the family moved to Bogotá. At 18, she made the move to Los Angeles for college, per Vanity Fair.

She is a fashion lover

According to Vanity Fair, Vergara graduated with a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, in December 2017. During her college years, she even received a one-year scholarship in New York to work at the Oscar de la Renta studio.

In 2012, she birthed her brainchild, Violetta Rose, a clothing line that caught the eye of not just her famous aunt – who wore the brand’s jumpers on the set of Modern Family – but also celebrities like supermodel Kendall Jenner and Vergara’s Modern Family co-star, Sarah Hyland. However, the brand’s Facebook seems to have been frozen in time since February 2014.
