Who is Lil Rod and what has he accused Diddy of? The producer – who’s worked with Jack Harlow and T-Pain – is in hiding and says he’s being ‘blackballed’ after filing a lawsuit against Combs
- Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones Jr recently opened up about Diddy for the first time since filing a lawsuit against the ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ rapper in February
- The 38-year-old musician alleges that Sean Combs sexually harassed, drugged and threatened him – but he says speaking out has come at a high price
In a new interview with Rolling Stone published this week, the musician and producer – who worked on Combs’ 2023 album, The Love Album: Off the Grid – said that he feared for his safety and said Combs was a “monster”.
“I’m broke. I have no source of income right now. Every month I’m trying to figure out how the bills are going to get paid,” he said in the interview. “Here I am standing up for justice, for what I believe is right for my life, and I’m being punished for that. I’m blackballed, for sure.”
Per Rolling Stone, Combs’ lawyer dismissed the claims in a statement. “Mr Jones’s lawsuit is pure fiction – a shameless attempt to create media hype and extract a quick settlement. Mr Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked,” Erica Wolff said. “We look forward to proving – in a court of law – that all of Mr Jones’s claims are made-up and must be dismissed.”
