- Sibling rivalry much? Ming Li shared on the We in Miami Podcast recently that, as she’s starting her rap career, she hopes that she will ‘no longer be known as Nicki Minaj’s little sister’

Rap legend Nicki Minaj’s up-and-coming half-sister Ming Maraj – better known as Ming Luanli or Ming Li – seems to be following in her footsteps, but her big sis apparently had some choice words for the rookie rapper after she spoke about the “Anaconda” star on a podcast.
Ming Li, 18, who shares her late father Robert Maraj with Minaj, went on the We in Miami Podcast recently, where she opened up about getting bullied and questioned about Minaj’s presence – or lack thereof – in her life. She said she received comments like, “Oh, if this person was your sister, why didn’t she do this for you?” which made her feel “attacked” and “vulnerable”.

Ming Li has also just debuted as a rapper with a feature on Rakeem Love’s single “Do It Again”. So what else do we know about her?
What is Ming Li’s relationship like with her half-sister, Nicki Minaj?

Ming Li mentioned on the We in Miami Podcast that she had an “urge to impress” the 12-time Grammy nominee, who was a “good sister” that she was “never close” with. She continued, “I don’t have no hate towards her … we still gon’ be family at the end of the day.”
After the We in Miami podcast covered Minaj’s response, Ming Li left a message in the comments, writing, “I still love her, I tried as a sister to please her but I realise I gotta please God first, cause only he can judge the gift he gave me.”
