Russian model Valery Kaufman has married Dimitri Varsano, a commodities trader, in a dream wedding at Lake Como.

According to her Instagram, the couple appear to have had their civil wedding on May 3 in Paris, where the bride donned Dior and Giambattista Valli. They returned to Lake Como a few days later for the wedding party – where Varsano had also proposed. Not only that – the Italian resort was where Kaufman had posted about Varsano back in 2022: “I prayed for a love like this,” she wrote on Instagram.

That same year, ET had reported her split from Suicide Squad actor and 30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto.

Per i-D, Kaufman, now 30, participated in beauty contests with her sister when she was younger, and was dancing from the age of nine. She knew her career would be in acting or modelling from a young age.

Per Frivolette Magazine, she sent out her pictures to agencies and eventually got a call back from Tom Ford. She later got booked for high-profile shows with the likes of Dior, Saint Laurent and Victoria’s Secret.

The casting director of Victoria’s Secret, John Pfeiffer, was especially impressed by Kaufman back when she was a new face for the brand. “Valery Kaufman is one of those girls; this is her first time doing the show, and she is incredible,” he said to Vogue in 2015.

Since then, Kaufman has modelled for Schiaparelli, Giambattista Valli and Giorgio Armani Privé.
