Actor Josh Hartnett and his wife Tamsin Egerton walked the red carpet last week in New York City for the premiere of his upcoming movie Trap, a psychological thriller directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Hartnett plays a father who takes his daughter to a pop concert, but dark events begin to unfold.

Notorious for being one of Hollywood’s most private actors, Hartnett, 46, was a staple in films in the early 2000s, with several memorable performances in blockbuster movies like The Virgin Suicides, Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down. He was also in Oppenheimer (2023) and had a cameo recently in season three of The Bear.

At the peak of his fame, the actor moved back to his home state of Minnesota and took several breaks in his acting career – especially after he was stalked by fans, per The Guardian. During that time, he quietly married his long-term girlfriend, and the pair have since welcomed four children together.

English actress Tamsin Egerton initially wanted to become a veterinary surgeon when she was younger – but that dream was quickly abandoned. “The whole reason I’m acting now is because I wanted to be doing what my big sister was doing,” she told The Independent in a 2008 interview. “If she’d wanted to be an astronaut, I’d probably have done that.”

Egerton followed her sister into a local youth group and began acting at just six years old. While her sister now works as a scuba instructor, Egerton stuck to acting.

The 35-year-old has appeared in several films, but she is best known for her roles in St Trinian’s (2007) and Keeping Mum (2005) – the latter alongside Maggie Smith.

The actress says she also tried her hand at modelling, but found it uninspiring, per People.
